Jessie Earley started school at WVJC Bridgeport in June 2015 for the Dental Assisting program. She currently resides in Middlebourne, WV, which is about an hour away from WVJC Bridgeport’s Campus. She chose to go to WVJC because of the supportive environment and the opportunities that will be offered during and after her college career.
Jessie says she chose the dental field because she finds it fascinating and is able to help people in ways that are mostly overlooked. She enjoys educating people about their teeth and helping them become more aware of the health benefits and consequences of their dental health.
So far her favorite part of attending WVJC is the people she has grown close to and discovering who she is as a person. She has made many friends she hopes will turn into long life friends, and has also learned that she is a different person than she thought she was in many good ways. Jessie says, “Attending WVJC has definitely changed my life and is going to help me continue my education to dental hygiene after graduation.”
Jessie goes on to say, “I have so many people behind me pushing me when things get tough or when I get discouraged. I am beyond blessed for all my friends, family and loved ones for the unconditional love and support.”
Jessie has a big support team behind her encouraging her to do well. She is very thankful for her family, friends and loved ones. When she wanted to give up, they were there to pick her up. When she needed to vent, they always had an open ear and a shoulder to cry on. “I cannot name one certain person that I am more thankful for because they are all playing an important role in my life and my journey through college.”
Jessie Earley continues to thrive in the Dental Assisting program, maintaining a 4.0 GPA to this day!
