Meet Tracey Bernot, the Nursing Program Administrative Assistant!
Our staff highlight of the month, Tracey Bernot, received her Specialized Associates Degree as an Executive Assistant from the Laurel Business Institute. Before working at WVJC Morgantown, Tracy was an administrative secretary at Uniontown Hospital. She also held a Safety, Health, and Environmental Support Specialist position with BAE Systems. Tracey chose to work at WVJC because of the culture. “I appreciate working in a culture that encourages strong relationships between students and staff,” said Tracey. Her favorite part of working at WVJC is helping the nursing students with whatever they need to get through the day-to-day. “The students motivate me,” said Tracey. She enjoys helping students to achieve their goals and being a constant support person for them as they complete their program. “I like being the person they can come to when they need something.”
Tracey is most proud of her ability to find the positive in everyday life. She has a future goal of returning to continue her education one day. “I’d like to learn more about human resources or accounting,” said Tracey. Something people may not know about her is that she loves to bake cookies! “My favorite cookies to bake are Hershey Kiss cookies!”
