What Are The Benefits of Accelerated Training?
Attending an institution with accelerated training programs can prepare students for a successful educational experience and professional career. At WVJC, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to start their careers in less time than at a traditional school.
Time Spent In School
We understand that the ultimate goal of education is to prepare students for their future careers. WVJC programs are direct admission, accelerated training courses that allow students to be prepared to start their new career in two years or less. Traditional schools can require students to take multiple prerequisites and general education courses, whereas WVJC students immediately start classes directly related to their program of interest.
Industry-Specific Learning
Students in a WVJC accelerated program will have the advantage of taking industry-specific courses designed to help them excel in their future careers. This allows our students to spend time learning the specific skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.
How Can Accelerated Training Help You?
Attending an accelerated training program can not only help you start your new career quicker, but it can also help you get ahead of the competition when it comes time to look for a job. As a result of your time at WVJC, you will gain hands-on experience and prepare to sit for industry certifications, showing potential employers that you have the skills and the ability to apply them to your career.
Hands-On Experience
Another way attending an accelerated program can set you apart is by participating in hands-on lab experiences, clinical rotations, and an externship. At WVJC, our students attend lab sessions and clinical rotations where they apply the skills learned in classroom lectures to a hands-on scenario. Toward the end of their program, our career management team will assist students in pairing them with a local facility to complete an externship, where they will work in their desired career field and gain valuable experience.
Earn Industry Certifications
At WVJC, we understand that students must learn the skills they need for their careers but also have the ability to perform them in the workplace. Therefore, our programs are designed to prepare students to sit for industry-specific certification exams, which shows employers that you have been evaluated by a third-party organization and possess the most up-to-date knowledge in your specific field.
Our Practical Nursing and Nursing programs are designed to prepare students to sit for the NCLEX exam, which is the passing standard for both Registered Nurses° and Licensed Practical Nurses~.
