Adjunct Dental Assistant Instructor

Description: Instruct courses as assigned. Communicate any and all student issues to the Dental Assisting Program Director. Clinical Lab Instruction. Provide support to students.


Education – Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach. (Required unless candidate meets experience requirement listed below).


Non-occupational courses – The faculty member possesses two (2) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience in the subject field in which they teach; OR

A minimum of three (3) years of job-related training and experience, as described above, for those instructors who are not graduates from an accredited program in the field in which they teach. (Required)

Occupational courses – A minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject field or in a closely related field; OR A minimum of four (4) years of job-related training and experience for those instructors who are not graduates from a program in the field in which they teach. (Required)

Certification / Licensure – Acquisition of any certification/licensure required by the state(s) that the applicant works in or other related field license or certification within one (1) year of hire (Required)
