Direct Admission Practical Nursing Program


WVJC School of Nursing offers direct admission to accepted students. We believe in you, so once you’re accepted into the college and meet all requirements, you’ll be assured a seat in the practical nursing training program and will not need to complete pre-nursing general education courses. This strategic approach minimizes unnecessary delays in your journey to becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*.

An added benefit of this direct admission program is the convenience of the home campuses, which are our Bridgeport, Charleston, and Martinsburg locations. The Bridgeport location has offered a residential Practical Nursing program for years and has seen success in its online/hybrid Nursing programs. The support from this location will be of great value throughout the practical nursing courses. The Charleston location has offered online/hybrid nursing training programs for several years and is conveniently located in Cross Lanes, where student nurses can complete in-person lab components. Martinsburg was developed as our Eastern Panhandle location to bring our online/hybrid Nursing and now Practical Nursing programs to that part of the state.
