Student Disclosure Notice
Clinical Medical Assistant Students
WVJC-Bridgeport is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). WVJC needs to notify students that the Clinical Medical Assistant Specialized Associate Degree Program was placed on a warning from ABHES due to non-compliant job placement outcomes for the reporting periods July 1, 2020-June, 30, 2021, and July 1 2021-June 30, 2022. As a result of this warning, WVJC must notify students of requirements by the accreditor, which include the most recent placement outcomes, a plan for correction moving forward, and a proposed Teach-Out Plan.
WVJC can carry out its mission and meet all obligations to current and future students. The Clinical Medical Assistant Program has sufficient instructors, resources, certification opportunities, and support services to continue to provide students with acceptable quality education through the WVJC Bridgeport Campus. Clinical Medical Assistant students will not incur additional charges due to this proposal, and refund policies will remain consistent, as stated in the College Catalog.
